This item is exactly what we were looking for. Very sturdy, very elegant and very easy to put together.
Very solid outdoor lamp
I had doubts with this lamp due to the not-so-good feedback on it. Since the price was right, I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm very pleased.
It came in a small box - it must be put together since it is in medium-sized pieces. The instructions are very basic, but it is pretty easy to tell how to put it together without them. The finish on it isn't as bronze as I had expected - it is more of a basic brown. However, that's not a bad thing since I didn't want it to stand out that much. Also, the lamp shade is bright white and could become a maintenance issue with keeping it clean. It is very friendly to being wiped clean, so it may just be not forgetting to do it.
The box says to use a 100W bulb and this is WAY too bright. I put a 100W-equivalent CFL bulb to save energy, but it made my side deck look like a huge party was going on. So, I put in a 60W-equivalent CFL and it is still bright, but not too much so. The lower-wattage CFL also doesn't get the glass dome over the bulb super hot, either.
Overall, I would recommend this lamp to anyone looking for outdoor lighting when they have a plug available. When put together, it is sturdy and very much is built to resist the elements outside.
Outdoor Floor Lamp
The lamp is not quite as sturdy as I expected, but overall it is nice. However, I was very disappointed that the glass globe was broken so I could not use it. I could not find any enclosed information that directed me where to contact for replacement? Would I order this particular lamp again? The answer is "probably not."
